2. Socratic Seminar preparation--bring purple packet to class, having read, and taken notes on the following questions:
- What discrimination was experienced by German Americans during WWI?
- What discrimination was experienced by African Americans during WWI?
- Compare and contrast the experiences of previously mentioned groups.
- In what ways did the United States government sway public opinion to support the war effort? From your own perspective, was it appropriate for the government to employ such methods to build a consensus?
- How did individuals protest against World War I?
- How were individual freedoms restricted during World War I?
