Period 4: Constitutional convention simulation preparation (issues A, B, C)

Periods 2 & 3: Socratic Seminar preparation and study/complete notes for quiz! Quiz will have 3 questions. For each question, you will be given a list of terms and asked to write a paragraph answering the questions and using some of the terms.

Potential quiz questions:

  • Discuss the problem of sovereignty. How did it arise under the Articles of Confederation, and how was it solved in the Constitution?
  • Discuss the problems of authority and majority tyranny? How did they arise under the Articles of Confederation, and how were they solved in the Constitution?
  • Discuss the problems of legislative representation and population determination. How did they arise, and how were they solved in the Constitution?
  • Compare and contrast the views of the Federalists and Anti-Federalists.
