Periods 2, 4 and 6: Read primary source for Enlightenment Visualization Project. Remember to pay attention to how the philosopher addresses these questions:
- What is the purpose of government? Why is government necessary?
- What is good government? What does it look like?
- What makes a good citizen? What are their characteristics?
Period 5: Enlightenment QUIZ (open notes) on Thursday. Also, READ Chapter 1, Sec 3 and 4 of textbook; CORNELL NOTES for p. 24-25 (stop at "Native Americans...) and p. 35-36 ("Great Awakening" section).
